PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your support and presence on the night of the School Concert. Our students put a lot of hard work and showcased their talents and took us on a tour around the world with their cultural and folk dances. I also want to appreciate the excellent work done by our staff members by preparing their concert items, searching for the costumes etc.

I would also like to thank those fathers who came and joined in with our activities that were designed to acknowledge our fathers. I trust they had a very good time. I especially enjoyed the conversations where each of the participating fathers shared invaluable memories about their fathers. I wish all of our fathers a ‘Happy Father’s Day’.

This past week, we held parent teacher interviews. I believe these interviews strengthen communication between parents and the school and have positive influences on students’ learning. If you miss your appointment, you can always call the school and arrange another mutually convenient time. The report cards are posted today and you will be able to receive them soon.

Today we are ending the donation campaign for the Rohingya people. All the money raised will be sent to the needy people through Human Appeal Australia. I believe that these efforts will at least make a small difference to some of those people’s lives. I hope that we leave our children a peaceful world to live in.

Lastly, I encourage our students to spend the term break with lots of exciting activities such as cycling, sightseeing, playing outdoor activities and reading books. I hope you all have a fun and safe break and looking forward to seeing you in Term 4.

Mr. Adem Engin
Principal
